I'm getting lazy about updating my diary. Gotta get better at it. Anyways...

No big soapin' today. Just placed some orders for GOOOOOODIES!

First, from The Coloration Station, I ordered some cosmetic-grade colorants and mica. Specifically:

  • 8 ounces of Oil-dispersible Titanium Dioxide ($4.50)
  • 8 ounces of Kaolin ($2.50)
  • 1 ounce Copper Mica ($4.50)
  • 1 ounce Jade Mica ($4.50)
  • 1 ounce Pewter Mica ($4.50>
  • 1 ounce Pearlescent Blue Mica ($4.50)
Don't those colors sound yummy! I can't wait to get that order confirmed (thank Bob for plastic) and in so I can **play**!

Second order was from Sweetcakes. I ordered several FOs...

  • 2 ounces of Bay Rum FO ($6)
  • 2 ounces of Red Rose FO ($7)
  • 8 ounces of Sandalwood FO ($16)
  • 4 ounces of Special Edition Vanilla FO ($12)
  • 2 ounces of Sweetgrass FO ($8)
  • 2 ounces of Sandalwood Vanilla FO ($7)
  • 1 ounce of Powdered Loofah ($4)
Third (and final, the CC is smokin'...) order was from Liberty Natural. These items are either for play or for integration with some Emu oil for CTS or muscle pain. I have CTS, it's a fair-to-middlin' case, and sometimes the pain just makes me about cry..fortunately I don't have a bad case (mine has also been showing symptoms for only about 2 years). But on days when the tingling won't go away, or I can't support anything with my wrists -- I have problems picking up pots that I've been cooking in, for example -- hopefully this cream will help. Don't worry...of course I'll post my results! :)

  • 2 ounces of Clary Sage EO (~$11)
  • 2 ounces of Bergamot EO (~$11)
  • 16 ounces of Eucalyptus EO (~$12)
  • 2 ounces of Marjoram EO (~$11)
  • 16 ounces of Sweet Orange EO (~$5)
  • 4 ounces of Wintergreen EO (~$11)
Well...last stop is to email folks whose co-ops I want to join -- finally figured out what I want to get and in what quantities.

  • 1 pound of Emu oil from Nancy's co-op -- only $12.50/lb!!
  • 1 pound of GSE from Maggie's co-op -- cheap, only $24.60/lb.
  • 2 pounds of Shealoe from Elaya, at a total of $19.50.
  • 4 pounds of Hemp butter for a total of 12.00 from Elaya,
  • 1 pound Apricot Kernel oil, 1 pound Macadamia Nut oil, at $7 and $7.50 respectively, also from Elaya
Total damage on the actual purchases, not counting co-ops? Neighborhood of $160... The only reason I got to splurge like that was because Patti decided (due to some nastygrams) that she needed some time without the stress of her FO business, so the order I placed with her last week can't be filled and she's sending my money back. Plus, my CC bill is totally paid off, and since I'm using it to try and build a good credit history (buy, pay off entirely, buy, pay off entirely) I needed to charge some more stuff. Heck, that's about as good an excuse as any... :) I was really disappointed about Patti having to discontinue her FOs, because she had better prices and more things that I was interested in than Sweetcakes, but oh well -- I can deal if it means her life will be easier. :)

Barry got the Lavender soap I sent him in the swap today -- he said that it kind of scented the house. Woops. Note to self: halve the Lavender EO I use next time!! Oh, but it smells so yummy.... Someone asked me to bring a bar in to work tomorrow; I wonder if he knows the entire NOC will be lavender-y as soon as I walk in! Oh well...:)
