Woo! I unmolded my first batch today. It filled (total) about 5 feet worth of gutter. I had some problems getting it out neatly.. I should have sprayed the gutter with Pam or something first. So I just kind of pulled the sides away from the soap and flipped it over onto some freezer paper, and pounded on it until the soap log fell out. It made a kind of neat effect, with ragged sides, kind of like how homemade paper has ragged, uneven edges and that gives it a kind of slick effect. Now I just need to find a cool dry place to let it cure!! Funny, with all the supplies I got and how I plotted what to buy, how I overlooked THAT little (big!) detail. :)

I have a bunch of scrapings from the sides that were left in the molds. I think I'm going to try rebatching that, and putting in some fuzzy peach FO. I would be so thrilled if I got peachy soap. :) I'm still waiting on an opportunity to leave work early enough to go by the post office and get my stuff from South C's, so I don't have the coconut oil and cocoa butter and lavender EO yet, but I bet I can make do. :)

I wonder if garlic is any good for your skin....I made pasta for dinner and I put *way* too much fresh garlic on it. The garlic press makes it really strong.. my poor house wanted to smell like roses but I gave it garlic instead. Woops. :)
